  • Narrative Design

For eight years, I provided technical support in international medical education using remote conferencing at Kyushu University Hospital. Currently, I specialize in research on narrative in design. The application of remote conferencing in education has spread rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic, but by adding new value through stories, I am exploring how to improve education. I am also participating in the Medical x Design Project in collaboration with Kyushu University Hospital.

Messages

Narrative has various meanings depending on the field, but one example refers to a design that makes the user feel that their experience is “their own story.” When implementing the design of various subjects and events in society, active participation of users is an important element. I hope that narratives will help students aiming to create innovation through design in their research and production.
