Design and development of vehicles to be used in preparation for the April 2019 launch of the “KNOWROUTE” service. “KNOWROUTE” is an AI-based on-demand bus service that is expected not only to reduce the financial burden of maintaining public transportation and to supplement transportation provided by local buses and cabs, but also to address the driver shortage, which is a nationwide issue. In designing the vehicles used for the “KNOWROUTE” service, we attempted to create a design that would demonstrate the advanced nature of the service and its usage in an easy-to-understand manner.
